Consulting / CREx Core

A data project.
Built around your business.

CREx Core is our consulting offer for bespoke real estate data, reporting and analytics projects. Start with the decisions your team needs to make, then scope the sources, definitions and outputs that support them.

01 / Start with the business question

What does your team
need to understand?

Bring fragmented data together, improve an existing reporting model or define the foundation for a future AI project. Begin with a specific problem and an agreed delivery scope.

Data

Bring the inputs together.

Scope property and business sources, collection arrangements, identifiers and reporting definitions. Agree the intended environment, access and ongoing ownership.

Reporting

Build around the review.

Define financial, operating and portfolio views. Use existing report examples to agree the output, then scope customization and source requirements.

Analytics and AI planning

Make the next step concrete.

Document questions, data readiness, reviewers and boundaries. Implementation work is agreed for the project rather than assumed from the plan.

02 / A bespoke foundation

Your sources.
Your reporting needs.

Start with an inventory: which systems hold the information, who can authorize access, which periods and entities matter, and where your team needs the result.

For a warehouse or reporting environment, agree the model, mappings, review rules and handoff. Confirm platforms, licensing and delivery responsibilities during discovery.

Working across third-party managers?

03 / Reporting and analytics

Begin with the report
your team actually uses.

Bring a current pack or reporting question. Existing examples help shape the brief; source coverage, definitions and customization are agreed for the project.

Example reporting requirements to scope
AreaExamples to reviewQuestions to settle
FinancialFinancial summary, period/property comparison and T-12Account mappings, periods, budget basis and approval
MultifamilyRent roll, collections, leasing, occupancy and work-order contextAvailable fields, unit/lease definitions and cadence
CommercialTenant/rent roll, lease schedules, collections and occupancy trendsTenant/suite identifiers, area basis and required history
PortfolioOwner review, plan progress and agreed management reportingEntity relationships, definitions, recipients and sign-off

The report brief defines the deliverable. Examples do not establish universal source coverage, a complete fund-accounting service or a fixed implementation timeframe.

05 / Agree the engagement

A clear brief.
A usable handoff.

  1. Define the problem and stakeholders.

Identify the question, users, source owners and decisions the work must support.

  2. Agree the scope and acceptance.

Document sources, deliverables, dependencies, review criteria, responsibilities and commercial terms.

  3. Review representative outputs.

Review mappings, definitions, missing inputs and what the team can rely on.

  4. Plan ownership after delivery.

Agree documentation, training, maintenance and support, including ongoing responsibilities.

Data dictionaries, model diagrams, report guides and training can be included in the agreed brief. Their depth and format belong in the engagement scope.

Questions / Core

Choose the right starting point.

Do we need Core before OS or Intelligence?

The data foundation is included in OS. Core is separate consulting for bespoke work, not a required software tier.

Can a project use our existing reporting environment?

Bring the environment and requirements to discovery. Access, platform suitability, licensing and delivery scope are agreed individually.

Are the report examples a fixed package?

They are starting points. Delivered reports and customization depend on your data, definitions and scope.

What if our main problem is multiple managers?

Start with the PM integration and OS conversation. A bespoke Core project is scoped separately if needed.

Data services / Joint ventures

Partner reports.
A usable reporting basis.

Scope the collection, chart-of-accounts mapping and review behind your JV reporting. Start with the partner roster, permitted source packages and the output your team needs.
