Owner reporting / Evaluation guide

What should a distribution-software evaluation cover beyond the investor portal?

Trace the investor output to its approved entity information, ownership basis and supporting property reports. Agree which provider prepares each input, which team approves its use and how a revised source changes the downstream reporting.

Keep the investor process and the property-data handoff clear.

A distribution workflow may involve an administrator, accounting platform, investor portal and portfolio reporting system. Product names do not establish who calculates, approves or executes a payment. Keep those responsibilities explicit in the purchase and service scope.

What to confirm before choosing the scope

Requirement, review question and evidence to retain.

These are buyer and reviewer questions. They do not claim that the checks run automatically in CREx or establish a missing capability in another product.

Fictional review example

A source question to work through

A property package is restated after an investor report was prepared. Identify which entity and investor outputs relied on that version, then have the responsible team decide what needs revision.

Record the source, affected output, person responsible and next review date. Keep an unanswered item open until the appropriate reviewer accepts its treatment.

Questions to bring to the discussion

Does this page promise tax-form preparation or distribution execution by CREx?
No such capability is established here. Confirm the requested business function, responsible provider and available CREx scope before selecting the approach.
Can we retain our investor platform?
Begin with the existing platform's accepted inputs and identify the handoff your portfolio team needs. Agree the relationship between systems and services.
