Owner reporting / Evaluation guide

How do fund software and property-manager data fit together?

Start with the fund team's required outputs, then identify where the supporting property, entity and investor information comes from. Evaluate each proposed software and service bundle against those requirements rather than assuming a category name covers every handoff.

Follow a property result into the fund report.

Property performance, a venture's accounts and an investor's position answer different questions. Keep their periods, entity relationships and reporting basis distinct. A fund platform may cover several functions; confirm the actual modules and source responsibilities instead of treating all fund software alike.

What to confirm before choosing the scope

Requirement, review question and evidence to retain.
RequirementWhat to confirmWhat to retain
Property reportingIdentify the PM package and reporting basis.Keep source accounts and the reporting period.
Entity reportingConfirm venture and holding-entity information.Record entity relationships and adjustments.
Investor reportingIdentify the statements and allocation basis required.Have the responsible finance team approve treatment.
Software bundleList the selected accounting, reporting and investor modules.Request a relevant output example.
Data handoffConfirm who supplies, maps and reviews the property inputs.Name the owner of late or revised packages.

These are buyer and reviewer questions. They do not claim that the checks run automatically in CREx or establish a missing capability in another product.

Fictional review example

A source question to work through

The property package is available, but a JV statement has not arrived. The property view can be reviewed with its stated limits; it does not establish the investor-level result for the fund.

Record the source, affected output, person responsible and next review date. Keep an unanswered item open until the appropriate reviewer accepts its treatment.

Where CREx fits

CREx OS is the portfolio data and reporting foundation beneath CREx Intelligence. Agree source coverage, reporting definitions, delivery expectations and review responsibilities for your account. Confirm the specific AI environment and available capabilities in the proposal. Your team reviews the evidence and makes the decision.

Eligible CREx OS accounts include support from the CREx team. Work with a named CREx operator to agree reporting responsibilities, shared capacity and coverage for your account.

Core is separately scoped Consulting for bespoke data projects. It is separate from the data foundation included in OS.

Questions to bring to the discussion

Does an investment module remove the need to review PM inputs?
Assess the actual source coverage and review method in the proposed bundle. Do not assume either that the module covers the handoff or that it cannot.
Where does CREx fit?
