How should owners evaluate portfolio analytics and AI together?
Separate the reporting question, the sources needed to answer it and the review required before acting. Compare how each proposed analytics and AI offering handles definitions, source dates, calculations and missing information for that question.

An answer needs a basis the team can inspect.
A dashboard, an AI interface and a data foundation can be parts of the same offering. Evaluate them together without assuming that one product category lacks the others. Ask for a relevant example that distinguishes source facts, calculations and proposed explanations.
What to confirm before choosing the scope

An AI answer explains a budget variance using an outdated plan. The figure may reconcile to the supplied file while the explanation still needs revision against the current accepted plan.
Record the source, affected output, person responsible and next review date. Keep an unanswered item open until the appropriate reviewer accepts its treatment.
